are shadow people and where do they come from? Many theories have been
offered to the wondering minds.

Shadow People are defined by their featureless, shadow-like appearance
and on most accounts they are manly shape, large and sometimes even seen
wearing a hat of some sort. Also, in some instances people have reported
seeing their red eyes.
Shadow People have been described as forms of ghosts, demons and inter-dimensional
beings. One of the more creative theories is that shadow beings are manifest
thought forms, meaning that they are collections of negative energy from
areas where traumatic events have taken place and evil people frequent.
The negative energy begins to manifest and takes on form and motive, thriving
on fear and negative emotions for sustenance.
Non-paranormal hypotheses for the shadow people phenomenon that exist,
include optical illusions or hallucinations brought on by the physiological
or psychological circumstances of the witnesses.Scientific explanations
range from Pareidolia, Hypnogogia, Chemical agents, Electromagnetic fields
and Neurological conditions.
The
Imagination
The explanation we get from skeptics and mainstream science. These people
are usually those who have never experienced the shadow people phenomenon.
Their claim, "It is nothing more than your imagination. It's
your mind playing tricks on you... your eyes are seeing things in a fraction
of a second that isn't really there - illusions... real shadows caused
by something around you", or something to that effect. And without
a doubt, these explanations are probably true for some if not many experiences.
The human eye and mind are easily fooled. But the questions is... is this
for all cases?
Ghosts
So are they ‘ghosts’? Most people will say that they are not.
Unlike ghosts, Shadow People don't really seem to have a purpose for their
visit except for spreading the bad feelings people report when they see
them. Shadow People, unlike ghosts seem to be aware of our presence. A
lot of the time manifestations occur involving an entity that seems to
be going about daily business, rarely do they notice or try and communicate
with people. The Shadow People tend to be very aware of our presence and
in fact seem like they wish to make us feel uncomfortable or frightened.
By almost all definitions, shadow people are different than the ghost
phenomena. While ghosts are often said to resemble actual people, accounts
of shadow beings generally do not. Even though these beings are mostly
described as having a human form, they generally do not take on the actual
appearance of an individual. Shadow People are dark and more shadow-like
and in some cases referred to as dark blobs. In general, shadow people
often do have a human outline or shape, but because they are dark, details
of their appearance are lacking. This is in contrast to many ghost sightings
in which the witness can describe the ghost's facial features, style of
clothing and other details. The one detail most often noted in shadow
people sightings are their glowing red eyes.
Demons
or Entities
Those who describe the shadow people they come in contact with as pure
evil has led some to wonder if they may be domonic. If they are demons,
we have to wonder what their purpose or intent is in letting themselves
be seen in this manner. Is it merely to frighten us? Or do they mean to
bring us harm?
Astral Bodies or Astral
Projections
One fascinating idea suggests that shadow people are the shadows, essences
or energy of people who are having out-of-body experiences. Astral projection
is a paranormal interpretation of an out-of-body experience. It's achieved
either awake, via lucid dreaming or deep meditation. The concept of astral
projection assumes the existence of another body, separate from the physical
body and capable of traveling to non-physical planes of existence.
Interdimensional
Beings
This phenomena is visitations from other universes or dimensions that
exists alongside our own. Even some mainstream science is fairly convinced
that there are dimensions other than what we inhabit. Some theorists say
that these dimensions exist parallel and although invisible to us, very
close to our own. The inhabitants in these other dimensions seem to have
found a way to intrude on our dimention and have become partially visible
as shadows.
It has long been said by psychics and other sensitives that these beings
on other planes of existence or dimensions are of different "vibrations."
The vibrations of our existence are beginning to mesh with those of another
dimension, which answers our questions on why the 0increase in such phenomena
as ghosts, shadow people and possibly aliens.

Heidi Hollis, researcher on Shadow People, has come up with some very
generalized information on Shadow People. She has appeared on Coast To
Coast AM several times. Taken from coasttocoastam.com:
Shadow people have been around since the beginning of time and are a dark influence upon society, she said. They also relate to negative alien entities such as the Reptilians and Greys (alien species), and may in fact be part of the same overall phenomena, she added.
Typically, shadow beings don't like to be spotted but they are sometimes discovered by a person who wakes up to find them trying to choke or suffocate them, noted Hollis, who presented several methods for decreasing or eliminating incidents with them:
Learn
to let go of your fear.
Stand your ground and deny them access to your person.
Focus on positive thoughts.
Use the name of Jesus to repel them.
Keep a light on or envision light surrounding you.
Bless your room with bottled spring water.
A type of shadow being referred to as the "Hat Man" is actually
more akin to the devil or a demon, Hollis revealed. He is often seen wearing
a fedora hat, trench coat and three-piece suit, and might appear more
solid than other shadow entities. She suggested that these very negative
beings are seeking to increase their numbers by recruiting an army of
people to the dark side.
